It's been over a month now since letter sent by Scott (6/10/2013). Building department does not show rental license obtained. Property continues to display "for rent" sign.
7/17/2013: Emailed 4th Ward (where this property is) Councilperson Jessica Yorko alerting her to this house.
8/7/2013: Drove by house. Still has rental sign in window. Building Department does not show a rental license. Re-emailed Jessica Yorko asking for an update.
I will check with Mr. Sanford on this issue. In another area in the City Mr. Sanford explained until the property was rented could they require the owner to register it, I am not sure this is the case with situation since they have sent a letter for failure to register.
Still no rental registration showing. Also, a trash notice was sent 8/23 but I see no compliance of it. Perhaps it's time for City Council to think about something like a fine system for repeated problematic properties?
