Description

This intersection is terrifying both as a driver and a pedestrian. I have seen so many near-crashes, and nearly been in some myself. I tried crossing here once with my young son - never again. We almost got hit by someone whipping around the corner from the highway 13 off ramp. There is so much confusion about who has the right of way — people turning right onto Moraga from Estates, or people pulling a U-turn from Moraga onto highway 13 South - it’s a daily problem. Recently the city put in posts that make visibility even worse for drivers trying to turn left onto Estates. This intersection NEEDS a traffic light, even if it’s green most of the time for Moraga drivers and only turns red when someone comes up from Estates.
