The sweeper just came through. S-15 at !:19 pm and the operator had both side brushes down and actually picked up all litter in the pathway. Not like yesterday. It appears the operators need further instruction so they consistently sweep the street properly. Such an easy solution but management at JCIA apparently are not concerned and I say this because they have been having the same problem in sweeping for years. I have just started reporting these situations but will continually to do so, and I hope you will also observe and report.

When looking at this photo you can see the LARGE piece of paper which had been in the center of the path of the sweeper. He ran over it but did not collect it. Also right adjacent to the curve, there is a piece of paper remaining. While I understand that every bit and piece of paper or refuse cannot be collected by the sweeper, they can certainly improve their operations and DO BETTER. I would have reported this incident to the Jersey City Incinerator Authority but in the past I have reported three issues on two separate days and they have lied to me while responding to my request while on the telephone. This is one area which I consider a quality of life issue that our new Mayor Fulop can address. You can also see how the street has been patched, they have made a mountain out of a pot hole... rather mountains out of pot holes. They should improve their method of paving and repairs. This street is in extremely poor/bad conditions... I am ashamed to say that our blocks tax dollars have paid for these services of the sweeper and paving... We pay over $300.000 a year just in property taxes and then we pay state and federal taxes... I wonder what is wrong?

Look at the quality of the street paving/repairs. Our block pays over $300,000 a year in property taxes plus additional monies to federal and state taxes. Why don't we and other blocks get proper services? They should change their methodologies of reporting, responding (if they do0 and correcting. In the middle west and northern European countries they pave properly.. using different methods. We need a change.

This is a continuing situation.... the sweeper pick up trash and then drops it at the speed hump.

Appears to be a closed issue. Speed hump has been trimmed and repaved.
