I was going to report this the other day. It’s been there for weeks. As I drive by I noticed the windows are open which could mean someone is living there.
This is allowed only if the owner lives nearby and buys a set of one-day two-dollar permits from the City. There is a limit (I think about 72 days per year), and the fresh permit must be displayed in the driver's side window each day. No permit or non-displayed permit equals big fine. Thank you for playing an active role in maintaining safe streets and neighborhoods in Chula Vista. The abandoned vehicle (private property) issue you reported is on public property and has been reassigned to the City of Chula Vista Police Department for further review. If you require additional information, please call the Vehicle Abatement Hotline at (619) 476-5365.
This request was entered as an abandoned vehicle on private property but appears to actually be on public property or in regard to a separate parking issue. Unfortunately it was only recently discovered to have been mislabeled and will be closed due to the age of the complaint. If this remains an issue, please reply or resubmit and we will reopen for follow up.
