Description

Poison Oak, ivy, and thorned vines are growing down from the lot on the hill have encroached onto the sidewalk below to the point that two people cannot pass through side-by-side, and someone in a wheelchair or a cart would have a hard time getting through. This lot belongs to the owners of the 555-561 Merritt Ave. complex above it.

I go by there every morning and yes the empty lot is taking over the Beacon sidewalk for sure. As a friend of mine, a gardener once said, it's not what you can grow, it's what you can kill! The lot owner needs to cut this back.

I always walk on the opposite side of the street when I come to this blockage of weeds and vines hanging down. It's a public nuisance.

I agree that this is a public nuisance that needs to be controlled. It is not only obstructing the sidewalk but is also dangerous at night as the weeds and thorny vines are hard to see and can easily be run into. I hope the owner can maintain this on a more consistent basis.

Would love for this to get cleaned up, my daughter has slipped in the growth, and had her skin cut by the prickly bushes. Would love to walk down the street i live on withiut having to cross the street just to avoid the mess. HELP!
