Description
Every day on Grand Ave I see a dangerous level of confusion about the new traffic lights. There are three red lights, and sometimes they are on, and sometimes they flash. Now what can they mean? Drivers don’t seem to know. I think maybe it would be better to stick to the universal system that everyone understands: red means stop, green means go, and yellow means red is coming. No one knows wether the three red lights serve the function of a stop light, or a stop sign.

Thank you for addressing this issue. I walk along Grand in this area regularly and NONE of the new lights installed for pedestrians to cross are effectual. Cars often go through the blinking yellow lights when pedestrians are crossing, and as the report above says, no-one knows what the red-yellow lights mean.
And why would the city place two lights of one style and three of another???
These lights make crossing more hazardous than before because the pedestrians think they are safe and they aren't.
