Description
The new owners of the house at 188 West Lawrence St are attempting to turn this two family dwelling into 4 or 6 separate studio apartments. I live directly across the street at 197 and have been living at this address for the last 30 years. I am not aware that the new owners have obtained the necessary variance or building permits to make this change. And as far as I know, none of the neighbors around here have been consulted on such a major change to our neighborhood.

It appears several tenants may have already moved in. Looks like the side yard (grass) is now a parking lot, which I can't imagine is compliant.

The house was recently up for sale and pics are still online showing the floor plan of a 2 family. This is especially odd, as I can't recall ever passing a licensed contractor truck or equipment on this street for this level of work. Wonder if they pulled permits, if they have an active ROP, and is this street or house zoned to be a mini apartment building?
