One problem is the street is on the border of Norristown and Plymouth. I don't know who has jurisdiction. I see the police sit on Roberts Street but the traffic that usually doesn't stop (the northbound traffic) can see the police car so they stop when they see one. Cameras would be a good idea.

and to make matters even worse that is my childrens bus stop.

I have seen the police on several different occasions for blocks, but the speeding is a MAJOR issue, I live on New Hope and never will a car truck motorcycle do 25 mph. There is no sidewalk in front of my house either and my children need to cross the street in the AM for the school bus, it an accident I don't want to see happing!

E. Roberts Street attracts speeders who ignore the stop sign at E. Roberts & Calamia. From New Hope to the end of E. Roberts is a straight shot and the stop sign only seems to get in the way of their need for speed. I would like to have several speed bumps put in before somebody gets killed. There are a lot of kids in the neighborhood. Additionally, the ATVs speeding around are dangerous and I beleive illegal on the streets.

25 is too low of a speed limit for that road!

This has been a terrible problem for years. The cars do not stop and race as fast as they can to get to the light at Fornance. They often do not stop for the bus when picking up kids. You would think with the number of kids on two bus stops at each end of the block it would be a bigger concern. My child's bus driver was always hitting the horn, and I can't let my kids cross the street by themselves, I am even hesitant. I called the police several years ago to complain but didn't get any results, was treated as a pest. Then several months after that my neighbor lost a dog to a person going almost 50 mph. When I go home and do the speed limit, I am passed repeatedly by impatient drivers. It won't be fixed until some poor child gets badly hurt.

Cameras are never the answer and their use undoubtedly would be abused by the borough. The borough already can't be trusted with our money, and you want to give it more?
