how much more money should taxpayers be forced to spend on these redundant signs?! There is already a marked pedestrian walkway AND a sign announcing the walkway. These in-road signs cost hundreds of dollars and are usually destroyed or stolen within months. Learn how to look both ways before crossing the street.
Ben, you are right. Since we put in the first in the city on State Street I have requested that this crossing be marked without success. This is a dangerous crossing. Bob

if you think that the signs are redundant, you have clearly not attempted to try to cross a street in new haven recently.

it has been replaced. its the one by portofino.
when it was replaced, it still had the piece of paper that someone attached to it advertising their tag sale. i guess they borrowed it.
