Beschreibung

A guardrail that prevents pedestrians from waking off the end of the sidewalk into a recessed sewer drain has been damaged and uprooted by an apparent car collision. Also, the drain does not work to reduce flooding of the street. The grate collects debris, makes a thick layer of mud and then floods the intersection when there is a heavy rain.

The damaged guardrail has been removed; however, there is still a hazard of pedistrians walking off the end of the sidewalk into the recessed sewer drain. The guardrail needs to be replaced. The sewer drain continues to collect debris and floods the intersection during a heavy rain. Perhaps a modification on the drain or regular cleaning of the drain cover would reduce intersection flooding.
