Our neighborhood culdesac is the only one in Skill Village (Paia) without a safety street light. It is pitch black at night; car and other theft, drug activity, driveways being used and screeching tires when drivers realize it’s a house ahead at the dead end. There is CONSTANT traffic all hours of the day and NIGHT, very odd for a culdesac! Applications have been submitted to the County, to no avail. Recently, two resident signatures could not be obtained because they don’t even live here (Alaska and Philippines). Was every other neighborhood street light installed based on resident signature approval alone? Please explain why safety is not addressed as the issue!
