You got to be kidding to submit something as minor as this and take a picture.
Save the next shot with your gadget take a picture of yourself of how silly you look.
Next report on something that can be repaired/fixed or removed.

Dear "Get a Grip" - a District of Columbia vehicle knowingly ignored a posted sign stating no left turn. This intersection is horrible for drivers ignoring the posted regulation. I've almost been hit by cars ignoring this and trying to rush onto the freeway.
Posting this picture here will not solve the problem...you need to contact the Department of Transportation of DC on this issue so
they can patrol this area and evaluate the problem for any improvement. Go to dc.gov...you will get a better response.
That may be what it is used for but just wait to see how long the problem will still exist....4ever.
Call directly to the office and share your pic. Depending on this site to do it all...is a joke.
Certain complaints such as this need to be noted differently to the office in charge if u want improvement and fast.
For the time being take two steps instead of three. B safe!
I've already requested MPD to come enforce months ago, but that hasn't happened. Funny - a 5D MPD cruiser came down 4th with their blinker on to turn left, but decided to turn around and go around this intersection instead of making the illegal turn.
But I have seen MPD do it as well (just driving - no lights or siren on)
R U knew to DC? This area is always this way and is not the only intersection with pedestrian and car problems.
As I said b4...it won't get fixed this way.

You clearly don't believe in good planning improvements to the built environment:, i.e., better transportation engineering, and traffic cameras that can shape motoring choices, are you suggesting that a police officer be paid to be there all the time? No thanks.

You seem to want to have a chilling effect on folks sharing photos of bad transportation engineering in our public spaces? Why are you against that kind of transparency? We also submit photos to public agencies, but we also want to share our photos in the public realm to build greater visibility and collaboration. Is your ridicule of this site and others' efforts to make improvements the best you got?
Also, I'll take your admonishment to "B safe" with great endearment because after all you are, no doubt, "a pedestrian too."

Dog whistle code-speak translation:
"Your status as a --newcomer-- gives you less political standing in the civic realm; I don't take any of your philosophy seriously because you don't have my institutional memory of pre-Hubbert Peak Oil era at this intersection" "Can't you afford to operate a car as I can?" "I want to always keep the terrible status quo here at this significant intersection because it's my favorite motoring route onto the freeway there." "I admit there are other problems for pedestrians and motorists elsewhere, so let's just throw our hands up and not work on any of them." "As I said before, this 311 site is irrelevant, but I do think it's worth spending my time here trying to discourage you from using it."
"Been here 4ever (life)"
Translation: "Again, since I've been here longer than you, that means you have no political standing, in my eyes, and I don't want you to forge collaborative coalitions to improve public health and safer transportation routes for the young and old in the community." "I've been driving 4ever, why can't you drive a big expensive motorized conveyance like me?"
Your optimism and concept of having a civic life is so inspiring.
