This is becoming an urgent situation.
The road is clearly collapsing in on itself.
When the bus hits the hole, my entire house shakes rather alarmingly.

This is a SINK HOLE as opposed to a pothole and it is getting bigger. This may need excavation to determine what the real issue is. It is as though the sand beneath it is collapsing. Maybe the sewer separation that was done a few years ago caused a problem that is now evident. The pavement is cracking and sinking and changes are visible daily.

This was the patch from yesterday, which clearly is NOT working and a waste of resources. It seems like every time there is a patch, the pavement collapses even more. Agree with my neighbor above, this needs excavation since there is a larger issue going on!

I agree - we went out a few minutes after the patch truck and supervisor left and the hole had already sunk in. I do have to give credit to the response and hope that it was intended to be a temporary fix over the holiday weekend and that the real solution is coming. Given the school buses, the city bus, bicycles and dirt bikes that travel on this street, it's just a matter of time before someone has an accident avoiding the sink hole or actually sinks.
