Description
Crossing guard should not be directing traffic when there is no children or no traffic. I am very uncomfortable going through a stop sign because he is blowing his whistle and waving like a mad man. I see him yelling at people everyday when he is not needed to direct traffic. I think he causes more traffic than he helps. He should just cross the kids when they get to the intersection.

The Traffic Director is actually on Spring St. at the intersection of Washington St. and Spring. He is usually standing in the middle of Spring St directing traffic and blowing his whistle constantly. Living in this neighborhood and walking through at this time we see more traffic built up as he holds one side of cars and then releases an entire line of cars, some through the stop sign on Washington St..(I can see how a driver would be uncomfortable).
This build up of traffic on Spring and Washington is causing more and more cars to use the less traveled side streets like Bow Ct. Ext, and Charles St. neither of which have side walks for pedestrians. Both Charles and Bow are now less safe to walk on.
I have not seen another traffic director focused primarily on traffic like this guy and his whistle. Unlike the other traffic directors he doesn't ask or seem to be aware that we may want to cross the street.
