This stretch of Route 9 in Latham needs better sidewalks. It is an area with many pedestrians, and with increased bus traffic in the area, there is likely to be even more pedestrians in the near future.

The dirty, gravel-filled strips along the road which are currently there are unacceptable for people to walk on safely.

This area also is in desparate need of better crosswalks and signaling, because motorists do not pay attention to people walking in this area.
