Description
This is a complaint about the unsignalled crosswalk on Mass Ave linking Gladstone and Magoun Streets. Vehicles block the box all the time and wait for the light to change while IN the crosswalk. Or they simply don't notice anyone trying to cross. The other day I was midway across the Gladstone side and a car nearly hit me while speeding from the middle lane to the left lane. Can't there be a crosswalk light installed there like the one at the Dunkin intersection? It flashes when people want to cross. People are in such a hurry to get thru that big intersection that they do not look for pedestrians.

Thank you for your report. We are currently evaluating locations for new rapid flashing crosswalk beacons - we will add this location to the list for consideration.
In the meantime, we have referred this request to Cambridge Police for directed enforcement.
