Typical NH behavior. Where are all the traffic cops when we need them? They do this all the time in front St. and also on Chapel in Fair Haven. I have seen the same woman do it to me twice because I was, god forbid, doing the speed limit.

I recommend a “windy road” yellow warning sign (squiggly arrow) along with an advisory speed plaque showing either 15 or 20 m.p.h. I highly doubt that New Haven’s traffic engineer would actually recommend that people drive 25 m.p.h. here. I think he would probably recommend something closer to 15–20 m.p.h. based on past conversations with him about this road. Since English Dr is technically a park road, I think the city might even be able to put these signs out without having to appeal to the state traffic review board like they normally would have to for other streets.

the in-road pedestrian sign to help people cross by the fields is often moved to the side of the road to help drivers speed through this area. i always move it back.

i nearly get hit way too often on runs and bike rides through such an active area for activities like these.
