If this is a one lane road it needs to be shrunk down people are making it into a 2 lane road and making it really dangerous. Maybe your police officers need to be monitoring it more.

Yes, this looks like a one lane road. But just yesterday, a Wickliffe cop passed me on the right on this supposed one lane road (and he wasn't going after anybody). So clearly this road needs to be marked better.

Don't blame the other drivers or WPD; this is an ODOT issue!
The problem is both left turn lanes off route 2 are needed or traffic will back-up onto the freeway. It is clearly marked two lanes turn from the exit eastbound onto Lakeland but then quickly chokes down to one very wide unmarked eastbound lane.
Solution: Two properly marked eastbound lanes are needed on Lakeland BLVD from the RT 2 exit to Worden Road.

My father & I were involved in an accident on this very road because a woman thought it was 2 lanes & turned into our vehicle.

My complaint about this intersection, which I travel every morning about 6:30 a.m. is that if there is no one sitting at the light going northbound -- the light does not turn green for the northbound traffic even if the light is green for the southbound traffic -- therefore, you have to sit and wait through the light for the next change.

THIS ROAD CAN SUPPORT 2 LANES LEGALLY. This is specified in Ohio Law 4511.28 which reads:

A) The driver of a vehicle or trackless trolley may overtake and pass upon the right of another vehicle or trackless trolley only under the following conditions:

(1) When the vehicle or trackless trolley overtaken is making or about to make a left turn;

(2) Upon a roadway with unobstructed pavement of sufficient width for two or more lines of vehicles moving lawfully in the direction being traveled by the overtaking vehicle.

(B) The driver of a vehicle or trackless trolley may overtake and pass another vehicle or trackless trolley only under conditions permitting such movement in safety. The movement shall not be made by driving off the roadway.

Lakeland Blvd, although unmarked, can support 2 lines of travel both eastbound and westbound between Worden Road and the SR2 ramp.

If you believe that this is only a one-lane road and make a left turn near the right side of the lane and hit a car to the left of you going the same direction- you would be at fault.
