Ever since Upper Mtn was paved and restriped there has been a problem with traffic backing up Long Hill Road almost all the way to Clove Rd.!The southbound lane at Normal was striped such that cars turning left from Long Hill onto Normal (toward the college) do not have enough room and block the entire lane, so straightaway traffic cannot pass. A slight widening at the intersection, by bening the center line. would fix that problem. In fact, it used to be that way until the repaving.

Obviously the backup happens mostly at high volume times, such as morning and evening commute, but it is annoying for the residents at Any time!
