Cars parked for Goodfellas, at the corner of Trumbull and State, and cars that regularly park in the bus stop area at the old Goodfellas/new burger restaurant at the corner of Bradley and State, make it difficult and extremely dangerous when cars pull out onto State from either Trumbull or Bradley Streets. There was an accident at Bradley/State a month ago, because of a parked car blocking the view. There is an open SeeClickFix posting on the Bradley/State intersection and a Complete Streets project request has been submitted to the City regarding this intersection. Parking restrictions or traffic lights should be put into effect before another accident happens.

Who are you "verified official" ?? this isn't the first issue you have wrongly re-categorized.

I just did a google search online for Other - city responsibility and found these pictured. It is clear this issue at Trumbull and State is not being taken seriously.

The traffic/road safety category is used by the nhpd to monitor traffic enforcement related issues.

It is not uncommon to stop at a stop bar, yield to pedestrians if needed and then move slowly forward in order to better view vehicular traffic. This type of scenario can be found anywhere, not just in New Haven. I grew up in western CT, in a small town. I can think of dozens of locations where this occurs in a much smaller geographical area. As long as you are careful, you can navigate through this intersection. If you have to inch forward to see traffic, then that is what you need to do. If vehicles are parked illegally on State St. There is a no standing zone and a fire hydrant before there are parallel parking spaces available, starting at the corner of Trumbull and State. If cars are parked illegally here on a regular basis, you can report it in the Parking Violation category. This may help with visibility to some degree.
