No traffic light needed, at this interesection. It would crteate more hazzards than it would cure. Take an alternative route, there are planty of ways around this intersection.

I cross 162 at least twice a day and I know by experience that this is very a dangerous intersection. Cars are often flying down 162 at the intersection of Highland rd. I suggest to continue the 35 mph speed limit from West Chester over the hill towards Marshallton, reduce the speed heading east on 162 and clear the trees / brush /hedges from the sides of rt 162 at regular intervals.

Situation is not improved. In fact with the leaves growing in with summer, the intersection sight lines are worse.
