The weeds have continued to grow and have not been cut. They have encroached on the sidewalk on the O Street side of the property that it has all but engulfed the brickwork. This needs to be resolved.

This is how high it is now. Please fix and put on a schedule. If there is someone I should be talking to directly at City Hall about this, please tell me.

What is the status of this? It has been 18 days since I reported this? Look at how high it has gotten. Please do something about this that brings about a permanent resolution to this property, so I don't have to keep reporting it. Find the heirs. Move it to a tax sale. Knock it down. Spot blight it. Something.

Guys, the weeds are now taller than the neighboring fence. Is there any plan here? The lawn is filled with trash. The weeds are so bad that the entire sidewalk--which if one could see it, is a very nice brick that the city paid a lot of money to install--is all but covered in vegetation. The whole house is covered in vegetation too...

Thanks...but I actually realized now that you posted it that I may have typo'd the address. It is 2501 O Street, not 2511 O Street. It is the corner of O and 25th.

Condemned property in an earlier picture from 2011.

The whole block is basically condemned and sitting there, plus the house at the corner I just mentioned. The city seems content to just leave it this way.

Unfortunately condemned houses are all over the city. Do as we do...keep reporting as these blighted buildings bring down our property values and make sales of our own homes impossible. Take all your concerns to your council person. Look for rodents, snakes, rats, falling debris from structures...anything that would endanger the safety of the public. Get your neighbors involved...anything to make a noise and help get this city's urban decay cleaned up. Don't get discouraged...you are not in this alone!

Brett, if you don't ...try to attend your areas MPAC meeting which are held once a month and your Councilperson should also be holding a monthly "town square" meeting.

Unfortunately they (the cubical people who reply to these issues) will close this ticket when they read the address error. My advice to speed this up...close the issue yourself, citing the incorrect address..and open a new ticket...no need for further delays. You have our votes!

MPAC is always on nights when I am traveling for work. I have communicated with my local MPAC person by e-mail, but haven't gotten very far. As for the listed owners, Henrietta Cooke apparently died over 5 years ago and Mr. Cooke died before her. The city has not identified (last I checked) any heirs to the property.

As far as I know, if there was a will, it should have been presented, and gone into probate years ago. Most likely this house is not owned and should be deemed uninhabitable and torn done. Newspapers and online sites are used for public notice.
Have you spoken with your Environmental Police Officer for your precinct? Very supportive in our area.

The Property Maintenance Code Enforcement Inspector has indicated in the case file, that the reported issue(s) has/have been corrected to meet code regulations. Thank you for your patience in this matter.
