Park a police car on this corner, put out a net and scoop up the dozens of criminals that commit violent crimes every single day. Seriously, what does it take before the MPD makes this area a priority? Does someone have to die first?

Agree. This entire part of Montclair is RIPE for a big bump in development/real estate. With the Bay St station and the new Elementary School, this part of town could be so much nicer. There has been so decent development along the bay st. side.
But with the new school on Washington, the New St., Mission St. Elmwood st. area is ripe for improvements. And it needs to start with the "broken window policing" model. Make people feel safe, and this place will blossom.
