Description
I understand this will only happen when there is the man power. However, at a meeting with JCPD we were told many new police officers are graduating and should be available. On the corner of Pacific and Johnston there are 2 "NO TURN ON RED 7-4 a.m. I monitored this corner for 8-4 a.m. only by standing on the crosswalk when there was a red for Pedestrian walk sign lite. But 12 cars attempted to turn. When asked if they saw "NO TURN", some said "I never noticed", a 20 year resident of Pacific told me she never noticed. Then of course I got cursed at and attempts to turn even though I was at corner of crosswalk.
There needs to be a police officer or even a crossing guard from 7-9 a.m., thats when traffic is heaviest. After that if drivers want to disobey the 7-4 No tum on red well... that's on them and law enforcement to correct.
