Q. City Code 45.03 (7) states grass or weeds which has grown upon any property to a height of eight (8) or more inches is considered a "nuisance." If the grass/weeds is taller than 8" please provide an address so a letter can be sent to the property owner.
A letter will be sent to the property owner and occupant. Four (working) days after the letter is mailed, a code enforcement inspector will visit the property to see if the issue has been corrected. If it has not been corrected, the inspector will issue an order for another City department to take care of the issue, wherein the property owner is charged a fee.
