We have just finalized funding, right of way requirements and awarded the bid to repave Romeo Plank between Cass and Canal. Project should begin in mid July.

Too bad the timing of the bid award came so late in the season. It would have been nice if the project could have been started right when school let out for the summer. This road is going to be a nightmare for buses and parents to navigate when school starts on September 7th.

The MCRC only admits to repaving between Canal and Cass, not between Canal and the Roundabout where it's really needed.

Umm, I'm pretty sure the roundabout IS Cass.

This road is so bad!!! It starts after the roundabout between Cass & Canal. I drive it daily and I'm surprised with the Firestation right there that they haven't repaired it sooner.

I can see the new roundabout on Romeo and Canal, people done understand how a 4 way stop works. Its amazing!!! Well good luck and do what you can Romeo Plank is one of the worst roads. You got my vote, i am sure so does the fire department as well as Erie school. Did the date change for this huge project, not the round about but the resurfacing of Romeo Plank? I hope that you are not just tossing patch on the road.

The Road Commission's contractor will be doing more than a resurfacing. The contract calls for a road rehabilitation which consists of "rubblizing" the current concrete before the resurfacing.
