Dear ODOT, please take 3' of each of the outer lanes on MLK between the Columbia Slough and Marine Drive and stripe it as a buffer for the bike lane. As it stands I feel like I’m bicycle on a freeway shoulder. I know some people like to do that, but not me.

When you find the funding, a much better course of action in the long term would be to convert MLK to a 3-lane arterial and use the extra space for a separated two-way bike path to connect the I-5 bike path and Northeast Portland.
