Description

This intersection was recently reworked to provide better pedestrian access, but as a result, drivers lack clear guidance. East avenue, headed away from Broadway, is now wide enough for a turn lane and a through lane, but without proper markings, drivers are making this up as they go, and not everyone is playing by the same rules. Some drivers heading straight across route 50 create a through lane to the right, but not everyone in the "turn" lane to the left is actually turning, creating a potential conflict. These possibilities need to be properly marked.
