Just offer a reward and no questions/prosecution so that the person who took the dog is able to return her ASAP.

Any security video available? I will pray for Bella's safe return.

I, too, have posted this on FB. I live nearby so its especially scary. I pray Bella is returned safe and sound. I don't know what I would do if one of my pets were stolen. Sadly, Bella is not microchipped. The thief probably took her out of town so everyone, please, keep your eyes open!

Hi.....This could be a "long-shot" but in Albert Lea, MN, a lady has been calling the local radio station this past week about a found yellow lab. The radio statio is "Albert Lea radio" and can be called for a phone #.

I have not created a page. I will do that this evening. I called MN - not her. Thank you everyone for your help!

PLEASE bring this beautiful baby home to her family where she belongs!!....Whom ever stole this beloved pet, has no heart what so ever, the family that owns this baby is devastated they need their Bella back home where she belongs!!....To the thieves that stole her, how would you feel if the shoe was on the other foot and someone stole your dog from your vehicle while you were shopping, you would be totally devastated beyond belief,,,,,,So PLEASE do the right thing and return her, i ampraying for a happy ending to this story, it's so heartbreaking to hear that this happened :'( I have shared this story on Facebook and will continue to do so until Bella is found safe and returned to her family.......

Has she been found yet? I find this story just heartbreaking. Can't imagine what the family is going through. Can't even take your dog for a ride anymore.

I was at Bj's in Derby today. Right next to my parking space was a car with a dog in it all alone. I was in the store for about 20 minutes, got to my car and the dog was STILL locked in the car next to me. When are these STUPID pet owners going to learn to leave thier pets at home while thier out and NOT LOCKED IN A CAR.

What kind of selfish, disgusting person steals a beloved pet? This makes me so angry that there are people who can be so heartless. Really hoping that this adorable girl is found and brought back to her loving family where she belongs! Whoever has her please do the right thing and get her back to her family now. Have you no conscience, morals or regard for other people? Very heartbreaking and disturbing to say the least. I would be beyond devastated if I lost any of my pets. Still posting - especially to other groomer's. Bella's owners need to really get the word out and not give up. Notify/fax every vet/groomer you can find. Every PetCo/PetSmart/PetStore. Keep posting on FB. SInce Bella isn't microchipped, think hard about unique identifiying parts of her - type them out and print with a date. Let veterinarian's know what medical conditions she has. Keep at it - a woman on FB searched for her two Yorkies (stolen right out of her own house!) for over a year and yes, she got them back. Jacqueline - if you would like the link; let me know. There should be NO reason not to take your dog(s) for a ride to a store, providing the weather is agreeable. Don't blame the victim! I do recommend locking the doors and taking off choke collars; also, don't be in the store too long. Also, and I only bring this up because others did in my conversations about Bella - are there any ex's to worry about? Ex-spouse, ex-boyfriend/girlfriend, even an ex-friend who would want to hurt you? Perhaps check out organizations/people against the use of choke chains? I would not leave any stone unturned. My heart goes out to you and your family. I love my own dogs so much.

I hate to bring this up but did you call places that use animals for research? Sometimes, people steal animals & sell them for reseach. Makes me sick to my stomach to even write that.

A google search, r.e. dog crime, in Stratford shows that there is a breeder: Von Wymar German Shepherds, on the parallel street, West Broad St., who has been convicted of dog theft and other crimes involving animals.

On the other hand this issue was viewed 1662 times. Hopefully one of the people that saw it was the family who picked up the dog from craigslist.

I'm glad to know that Bella is safe but needless to say, very upset with the wife. Not only is it stupid to offer a pet for free to strangers but pets have feelings. Thank goodness Bella wasn't given to a dog fighting ring to be used as bait. Lying to her husband like that is upsetting too. I had a situation like this in my line of work (dog grooming). The wife didn't want the 8 yr old dog anymore and wanted him dropped off at a shelter. Chances of an 8 yr old large dog (border collie) being adopted were slim. Luckily the husband called me and I got the dog into Border Collie rescue where he was sucessfully adopted. The husband was very upset and his daughter told me he died a year later; still missing his dog. I don't know, maybe these wives are just jealous of the dog.

I too was upset and disgusted to find all this out yesterday. So wrong on so many levels. All because of a lie that got out of control......so very disappointed in people sometimes.
