Any update ? It isn't a road repair but a setting

It's clearly unacceptable that no one can get Dekalb to fix then when they say all the signals are times now. People running lights is completely unsafe especially with senior home. Please ask Dekalb or whoever to fix it . 4 cars on a green , 14 lined up.

Update please . 3 cars on a green and then 2 ran the light .

It is most time of the day, more noticeable I'm the morning and afternoon traffic hours . Direction is SW, up Donaldson to the intersection .

I was walking there one morning around 10 a couple of weeks ago. Five vehicles were lined up waiting on Donaldson when the light turned green. Two made it through on the green and amber lights. The other three ran the red light.

This issue came up at a community meeting in my neighborhood last night with the city council woman and the Chief of Police. An interesting suggestion was made, make the left turn lane (much less utilized) a straight / left turn lane and the right, right turn only.

Either way this has to be fixed, it's been 6 months. What is the name of the Public Works Persons Ms. Chase Williams advised all of the owners to email individually?

I met with the PCID and the city two weeks ago. Hopefully as an outcome of the review of the traffic study, this will be resolved in the next 2 months.

We are aware of the traffic back-up during the morning. City of Brookhaven has contacted the traffic consultants and will follow up soon.

I met with PCID and Brookhaven, they have a solution in the works . Finally! Phew !

Easy money. Ticket the cars that block the intersection traveling toward Johnson Ferry. When they block, nobody can get out from Donaldson.

Unsure which way you are referring to since Johnson Ferry goes more then one way. I asked the same thing about other areas to the BPD who was in the neighborhood, it's just not possible from a time needed and commitment. I too was on the same wave length. Hopefully the traffic study can help improve the intersection altogether with review of the lane setup for Donaldson.

I am referring to all of the cars that are not on Donaldson. Cars fill up the intersection and the cars on Donaldson sit.

Understood I would recommend contacting the police department and providing the feedback since see click fix can't really do that. Or isn't intended. I would be happy if I could turn right without waiting for one car to go straight

City of Brookhaven City Manager's Office assigned this issue to Brookhaven Department of Public Works

PCID and Brookhaven Public Works met with me in mid January in response to my request for consideration of right turn & shared left/straight lane at Donaldson to AD/JF. PCID, Brookhaven and Kimley-Horn came very prepared with traffic studies and review of my proposed change. The group collectively agreed based on the traffic data, street size, signal timing, etc, to present to Brookhaven for approval allowing the change to be incorporated into the current plan underway.

In March, the Brookhaven E-News highlighted the upcoming changes along with diagrams. PCID (Jennifer) and Brookhaven (Richard Meehan) confirmed that the diagram Ms. Chase-Williams highlighted was from the original KH traffic study. The future of Donaldson to AD/JF would be a shared through/left and right turn would be included.

During the meeting, it was noted that the change to the signal and restriping would be the easier part of the project and would only need approval with contractor. Is their a timeline for the Donaldson component of the signal change, shared lanes and right turn only?

I am very grateful for PCID and Brookhaven to actively listen to my concerns along with the HOA of the 139 residents I represent. Also appreciate Ms. Chase-Williams recognizing in the city email update in March that our interactions resulted in the change we saw. THANK YOU!

The improvements to this intersection will be constructed in the next couple of months. We are coordinating with the utilities companies on relocating their facilities that are in conflict. Work is expected to begin in late July or early august
