Investigators may want to investigate whether the liquid is hazardous waste. Also, the entire front yard is within the street right-of-way (public space). DDOT has already issued a Stop Work order for the new paving.

DPW Inspector Yolanda Hood needs a course in visaul acuity - 311 says that she was there and found nothing. I was just there and the stain of the spill is still there. There was no distrubance of the spill area, so no samples were taken, so how dfoes the pblic know there is no danger? this is in public space. how come DDOT or DDOE inspectors were not sent??? then comments made it clear that this is in public space and could be hazardous. Grade F-

This issue needs to be investigated by a DC agency capable of taking soil samples to determine if this is a hazardous or toxic spill. The original 311 report (soon after the spill) cited an odor. Please advise if the neighbors should be using a different reporting mechanism.
