Ah, now thats a classy comment G. They are not playing in the street, they are walking on the shoulder since there is no Sidewalk. There is a pool on old West Chester Pike across from Barnabys where all the neighbrohood kids go during the day, to get home, the have to walk on the shoulder of the road, no sidewalk. I hope your children never suffer such a fate.

Cars need to stop riding the shoulder on rte 3 past all these streets leading into Westgate Hills. Not only are pedestrians, kids, and bicyclists in danger, but you can get the nose of your car clipped off too! It is illegal to ride the shoulder past a street intersection - and certainly so at the speeds these cars are going. Be patient - no one is getting anywhere quickly, so why are you so special? Haverford police have had checkpoints before. Time to start again.

How about making the shoulder a third lane? An

It should be made into an extended turning lane for Glen Gary, and further up for Glendale. Some kind of barrier needs to be put in that shoulder lane just east of Glen Gary so people dont go thru that intersection in the shoulder just to try and make a right down one of the side streets to get to Glendale and bypass the traffic light. That would make it safer for the kids walking.

my car was almost hit by someone who not only rode up the shoulder, but she continued on past Glen Gary to Oxford Hill. She was completely oblivious to rules of the road! A clearly marked turn lane should be painted for a short approach to Glen Gary. That will make it clear where you can drive, and where you cannot.

I agree completely. If it isn't already, it should be prohibited to turn right on red onto Glen Gary from West Chester Pike. After all, the residents of this neighborhood have to wait an unbelievable long time to turn right from the neighborhood onto West Chester Pike because they are not allowed to turn right on red.
