Deskripsyon

Mother Teresa School is located on Willow Drive. The intersection of 88a Street and 72 Ave is the main road where vehicles turn left onto Willow drive. There are many children who walk to school in the area and have no safe place to go across 72 Ave. A lot of cars are going 50km an hr (Speed limit is much too high for a residential!) and many parents don't trust their kids walking to school safely. Please put in a Cross walk at this intersection.

This really needs to be addressed. This is a Main Street. It is used by the residents of country side north and signature falls. The only cross walk on this street is for the walking trail.

Come on city of grande prairie. It's children going to school!!! What's the big problem with adding a crosswalk? We aren't asking you to personally come down and escort them all safely across the street!!!

The City uses a warrant system to determine the need for cross walks. This is done in order to maintain consistency and effectiveness of signage and cross walks. Pedestrian counts undertaken in 2013 indicated a cross walk was not warranted at this location. The City will continue to monitor this location as development in the area continues.
