It seems to be the traffic trying to head West on 23 Mile rd that backs up the most, so I'm sure the fix accounts for that. We were wondering if it would be possible for the middle lane on the ramp to allow drivers left OR right.

Just went through here yesterday...the light timings are out of whack, causing unnecessary backups.

While you are checking the timing and traffic flow at 23 mile and I-94, please check the timing of the light on 23 and Donner. Several close calls in the left turn lane because the left-hand turn lane flashes yellow then turns red. Cars enter the center of the intersection and when the light turns red they are stuck or try to turn quickly as oncoming traffic is heading East on 23. Turning right on red from the freeway, may make this issue worse.

I called the Road Commission yesterday to further find out about why the timing is off lately. The gal answering the phone told me that it was the State's issue and Macomb County has petitioned to get it fixed. I tried to get an explanation of why in the past two weeks has the timing been off and why do we have to wait for the State to release funds for the fix of a timing issue. I could not get the gal to understand that something has changed in the last week or two and wondered what it was and why we need to wait for the state to get it fixed.

I understand that there is a bigger problem going on that may require the State's approval, however, I don't understand why you can't at least fix the timing and return it to whatever it was a few weeks ago?

If you make the center lane left or right it will cause more confusion than there already is. The lights in that whole area need to be retimed. The "no turn on red" needs to be enforced.

the green light from donner onto 23 mile is way too short. it lets about 2-3 cars through, and sometimes, they can't proceed because westbound 23 mile is backed up. sometimes have to wait 3-4 lights to go

I haven't seen major backups on the ramp for some time.
