Something must have recently changed with the lights on 23 Mile Rd. around I-94.
Traffic on the Eastbound 23 Mile Rd exit ramp is backing up for a mile or so on I-94! This makes for a very dangerous situation because the right lane is dead stopped and not everyone is intent on turning and cars are trying to escape the lane and enter the right 2 lanes which are proceeding normally. Other times, all lanes get congested because of this. This is fairly new, and I have to think it has to do with the light at the top of the exit ramp, or those around it.

It seems to be the traffic trying to head West on 23 Mile rd that backs up the most, so I'm sure the fix accounts for that. We were wondering if it would be possible for the middle lane on the ramp to allow drivers left OR right.

I called the Road Commission yesterday to further find out about why the timing is off lately. The gal answering the phone told me that it was the State's issue and Macomb County has petitioned to get it fixed. I tried to get an explanation of why in the past two weeks has the timing been off and why do we have to wait for the State to release funds for the fix of a timing issue. I could not get the gal to understand that something has changed in the last week or two and wondered what it was and why we need to wait for the state to get it fixed.
I understand that there is a bigger problem going on that may require the State's approval, however, I don't understand why you can't at least fix the timing and return it to whatever it was a few weeks ago?
