Thank you for that info on the scheduled meeting, Ron. It's absolutely helpful. I believe meetings are a critical but insufficient way to communicate with the public in 2018. Many people work multiple jobs or have to care for their kids in the evenings. Many people cannot make it on a particular night, even if they want to be there. Many people cannot wait for a month, wondering if there have been any developments.
As such, I believe posting on See Click Fix is a modern way to request information in real time. I intend to be respectful and simply ask the city and the JCPD for updates so the public at large can see if any progress has been made on a particular incident. I intend to post more as I have time, and I have asked people on Nextdoor.com to post such concerns on See Click Fix, as well. My hope is that in time we will have a community dialogue that will move us toward solutions and provides much needed rapid communication and additional transparency.
