The City is currently aware of this concern and will discuss it with Alberta Transportation (These are the provinces signals).
This City is also undertaking a traffic study of 102 St to determine appropriate levels of service and any potential upgrades.

The problem with the intersection at 102 st and 116 ave contributes to problems for driver exiting from 117 ave onto 102 st as well.

I don't understand why this is such a problem. The turn signal lights are there just get them working! Why does the city need to contact Alberta Transportation? How many accidents does there need to be before this gets resolved?

exiting 117 Ave onto 102 Street from any direction during heavy use times is a 'nail-biting horror'!

I too don't understand why they just can't activate the already present advance green arrow lights for the north/south traffic. Alleviate some of the problems while the study is being done...might just find out that activation of the advance arrows reduce the problem!

Any word of how the "study" is going regarding this intersection? It shouldn't take too much time and money to do a study of this intersection, just have the Mayor sit there at rush hour, study completed.

We expect the draft report from the study to be delivered to the City within the next week. The study is looking at the entire road corridor and not just one intersection.
