This is an ongoing issue. The city spent a lot of money to upgrade Waldie Plaza for our residents. It is filthy, and squatters have taken over this park leaving little for the public to enjoy. It's no wonder the Delta Blues concert is gone from this place, and I imagine the much-beloved summer concert series will not be far behind.

The city needs to adopt the ordinance Portland Oregon passed, no camping on public property between 8am and 8pm and enforce it. I realize it's not the end of this scourge but it's a start. It gives law enforcement some teeth as long as it's enforced. But, it's doubtful our feckless council will ever take any steps to curb vagrants from flocking to Antioch. It's not just the vagrants that are destroying Antioch it's our do nothing council, especially our loser of a mayor, he wants this, FOOS
