I disagree with previous poster. We all have hardships, and all laws and regulations should be applied equally.

The plan, in 2009, was to allow employees of Stoddard and Bancroft to purchase daytime-only parking passes. Those passes would be valid only on low-occupancy blocks (such as mine), and would not have been valid on Newton, to avoid the congregation of these daytime-only cars on certain streets. The plan came very close to fruition -- note the "1DD" RPP signs around the neighborhood.
Unfortunately, some residents protested their curbside parking being "sold" to commuters, and Bancroft staff in particular complained vehemently about having to pay for these passes. Given opposition not only from residents but from the intended beneficiaries of the plan, CM Graham dropped his support, and DDOT abandoned the plan.
Had that plan gone forward, Stoddard employees could have purchased these passes (the proceeds to be used for the benefit of the neighborhood), and parked here on my block, a few blocks away from the Home.
