Descrizione

Would like to have a stop sign placed on New York Street at the corners of New York and Banner. Traffic drives too fast through the neigborhood going westbound from Telegraph or traveling eastbound from Bailey. Just have an unmarked patrol car sit and watch one day and you'll see what I mean. Thank you.

Under the State's Uniform Traffic Code, any stop sign placed for the purpose of controlling the speed of traffic is not a valid sign and cannot be enforced. The sole purpose of stop signs are to control traffic at an intersection to ensure safety.

One of the reasons for the addition of the stop signs is to make it safer. I notice at least a couple times a month where cars are almost getting into accidents.

There are many middle school student who come from O.L. Smith, down New York Street to cross at Banner. There is a significant amount of traffic coming off of Telegraph headed to the elementary school at this time ... it is extremely dangerous for them to cross there without a 4 way stop.

There needs to be a stop sign at Banner - I live on New York and I'm shocked at how many people zoom down my street coming from Telegraph, or zoom towards it. Because of idiots driving down my street, I won't let my kids out in the front yard because most drivers are too anxious to get down the street. Sadly, I've even had a cop run a stop sign (on Banner) and nearly hit me when I had the right of way - very upsetting!

should dispach PD there more ive seen alot of police hamg out at the parl rathere then work the busy streets !
