Update on 3/14/13:
It has NOT been resolved. It is still a significant problem daily.
Thank you
I travel from Ga. 400N to Old Milton Parkway going east each morning at approximately 4:30AM-5:00AM. The traffic signal at Old Milton and Northpoint Parkway is not functioning properly. They are staying red on the Old Milton side for an extended time period, even though there are no cars waiting at the intersecting street of Northpoint Parkway. This intersection also makes you wait as it cycles through four left turn settings and four straight settings, even though no cars are waiting. Could you please check the timing and/or the sensors at this intersection?
Thank you,
Gerilyn Robbins

The signal interconnect loops at this location are being impacted by the ongoing Georgia Department of Transportation (GDOT) intersection improvement construction. As a result the signals are operating off of manual timing and do not adjust base dupon the presence or lack of vehicles at a given moment / cycle. The issue cannot be effectively addressed until the construction project is completed.
Construction at the location has been stalled due to the need to relocate an unmarked utility line that was discovered during construction. The City has contacted GDOT to request an update on the construction schedule and is awaiting response.
