Coming from MLK Jr. Boulevard and trying to turn right onto Chapel Street one always has to wait when the light is red. Why is there a no turn on red sign here? Please consider removing the sign and making the turn on red legal.

Sorry, there was indeed a typo in the description: I meant Church and MLK Jr. Thanks for the pointer! I will probably have to close the request and open a new one. Or do you know how to change the description of an issue reported?
Regarding your suggestion about the two right turning lanes: you are absolutely right. I think a good solution would be to have a "Right Turn On Red From Right Lane Only". I don't know if New Haven has places with this sign but the sign IS used in other CT towns. (Example: West Hartford, CT, right turn from Ridgewood Rd. onto New Britain Ave.) Having the sign here would make traffic run smoother.
