Carroll St. still hasn't been plowed as of 9:00 am Sunday. There are no cars on the street. Has Clifton or Summit been plowed?

The footprints are mine. I got so frustrated last night at around 9:30 i walked up to the corner - through 3 and 4 ft. drifts-to see if any of the roads were plowed. None were. Yet I see cars moving on Russel St. right behind me! The emergency center suggested that if I have to go to work tomorrow, I could walk to a main rd. an have some one pick me up. Are they serious? Even our "main" roads aren't plowed. What an insult to we taxpayers.

Are there able bodied folks that could clear a path to the main road? The National Guard was in town today because of the severity. This kind of natural disaster goes beyond the regular tax base ability to subsidize a clean up.

Ben is right. I'm sorry you felt so frustrated at 9:30 on Saturday, the first full day of being snowed in! This is a once in a century blizzard. I'm not sure what you think should have happened, but I can assure you, you would not like the annual tax bill if our city actually maintained an infrastructure that could handle a historic 1 in 100 years storm.
People in the Hill dug out their stub roads and side streets so they could reconnect to the main road.
I don't think this is a good place to kvetch about the weather. This is really the place to coordinate meaningful assistance and work.

Clifton is still not passable and is ...Dave... our nearest main St.. We cannot get to East Grand since our closest connector- Summit st.- has not been touched. People are still trying to get through and are getting stuck all over the place. Thanks to our neighbor, Gabe, who plowed us all out!!! Now, if we could just gt beyond Robertson......
