true 55 mph is a tad fast for any intersection however the speed on Rowlands at RT 29 running from Geyser Rd, after the sign that says END 35mph becomes 55 mph. and coming from the other direction is 55 mph until it's posted otherwise and yet you'd be amazed at how many inconsiderate idiots travel that section thinking of only themselves as they make others late reaching their destination. Truly I never enter an intersection at a high rate of speed but the point was that intersection at Rowland and 29 and Petrified Gardens needs desparate repair as it's very dangerous currently.

Petrified Sea Gardens Rd and the cross over to Rowlands at RT 29 is very dangerous and the RT 29 on the EAST side of the intersection is also very dangerous as it dips and pulls your car toward the ditch do to the severe wear in the road. This entire section needs to be redone and done properly as it is extremely dangerous the way it is currently. Please fix it.

not only that intersection is bad but Petrified Sea Gardens Rd is in horrible shape. I drove on Kirby the other day and was suprised it got repaved when it truly was in better shape than Petrifed Sea Gardens Rd. The repair work that was done is horrible it needs total repaving and it should get done. Greenfield put nice aprons into the driveways of all their residents. I feel badly for the one's on Petrified Sea Gardens Rd who now have a bump to cross in and out of their driveway. probably from complaining about the road condition nice way to treat your residents City of Saratoga.

The City should be ashamed as to the shoddy work that was done on this road. City Council or Boards need to get off their butts and come look for themselves and then ask if this is a road they'd enjoy traveling each day. Another minor accident happened here yesterday when a young driver surprisingly doing the speed experienced a flat and was pulled into the ditch area by the dipping and pitting of the road which made a bad experience worse. Now wouldn't it be great to have legals brought against the City for not repairing the road they've been made aware of for so long. I'd be rather weary of any future possible legal suits as one can sue a township or city for poor road conditions if it contributes to the cause of an accident. Common City of Saratoga Springs CLEAN up your street conditions starting with the one's in most use like Petrified Sea Gardens Rd.

Well this was partly addressed and also in some respects poorly addressed. The stretch patch work done on Petrified Sea Gardens Road is horrible. The City should be ashamed to have that road which is a connector route in such disrepair. There is actually a POTHOLE on the West side near that limited site hill that is very dangerous and has been there right along. Must be while they were doing their rotten paving job they decided to leave a death trap for accidents to occur. I had the misfortune of having to drive down that road while their workers were doing some of this horrid paving and that young thin man with dark hair has a mouth on him worse than any ill mannered trucker I've ever met. The City should have him doing inside work if they must keep him on staff he should not be exposed to the public with a mouth like that. Truly Vulgar.

With the cost of everything going through the roof I just bet this will never be properly repaired by any of the parties involved. Being the sign for Route 29 is in Black and White I'm guessing the old lesson is still true. Black and White are County Roads and therefore this is a County issue as it's the Route 29 part that is grooved and heaving and causing most of the accidents at this intersection by grabbing people tires and pulling them to one side. The road grooves really bad from east to west not too badly from west to east and crossing north and south well that's just a mess and not too bad now on the Petrified Gardens side but wait a few more months it'll get worse it always does. Petrified truly needs a total repaving and that limited sight hill now has a death bump heading toward greenfield. I don't take this road anymore as I value my life more that cutting 5 minutes off my trip home.

I am thirlled to see the speed on Rowland was reduced by placing a few signs up, now all we need to do is start mega ticketing to get people to knock off the speeding. Petrified Gardens Rd. is a huge potted mess and the city of saratoga springs the town of Milton and the County should all be hugely ashamed as to how they poorly address this poor paving issue. Yeah sure the City wasted money and put about 1" of paving on the road in sections last year but it didn't last, it's already cracked and breaking soo it was wasted tax payer money. Now do you suppose you could Pave it Properly ? Grade the road down by taking out the old ashfault and bring in new stone base, properly roll it and then place a 3 to 5 inch layer of blacktop paving. While working on the road grade down that limited sight hill in the process to stop the urge to speed over the crest. There some professional advise on proper paving now lets see if they pay any attention in educating their staff in doing the job the right way next time.

The only thing that has been corrected in this complaint is the speed on Rowlands has been defined with a speed limit sign of 45mph. That's fantastic! The roads that were remarked on, Route 29 and Petrified Sea Gardens Rd still are in severe need of repair and repaving as they are both extremely dangerous. Rt 29 has actually caused accidents. I am an experienced driver and on a good day that road section just before Petrified Gardens Rd can pull the control of the steering from a person's hand. I know it's there and therefore can prepare for it. But again that section is 55mph heading West and toward the intersection and people are still riding the shoulder to bypass others making left turns. Accidents have happened as I have noticed the Road Signs are crushed and in the ditch and have been for months now. Petrified is in horrible shape and that paving job is was nothing more than a waste of wage money and material funding. Misappropreiation of funds to be truthful and someone that knows what they are doing should be paving and grading that road. Thankfully I do not have to travel it very often or I would be complaining much more. I am so sad for the residents that have to put up with those conditions the City really should be ashamed as others have said earlier. doubt it matters much as I really do not believe anyone of any importance reads these posts or acts on them. I am posting in frail hopes someone does act on them though.

Some of these issues have been addressed and fixed. The road signs are now up although do you think they could have afforded that itty bitty sign for Petrified Gardens Rd. My gosh it's so small I did not notice it at first but at least that pile of junk that was mangled is gone. They did trim back those Cedar trees so you can now see the RT 29 sign on Rowland heading toward rt 29. Petrified Gardens is still a mess but that will never change until they totally redo that road and do it properly. Route 29 is very dangerous and needs to be addressed, the grooves in the road are severe enough to cause accidents and I am aware of two letters that have been sent to the State informing them of the condition and copied to the County I presume. That being said IF there is ever a deadly accident and the cause is found to be a car out of control due to the bad road conditions the State and or County could be sued being they've been properly informed of the condition. And yes you can sue the County and the State. I would hope it would never get to that point and that the individuals responsible for road safety get these areas fixed. They did do some work down by the Naval base on rt 29, it didn't really work well but they tried.

Speed limit signs on Rowland does not remove the issues of Petrified Gardens Rd being a mess of potholes and poor paving attempts by the City. This issue has been reported on so many times now that I would not be surprised if the next person or person's that have an accident blame it on poor road conditions and sue the City. Being that the City has been made aware of the problem more than once and not addressed it properly means they are liable if someone crashes due to poor road conditions and that doesn't matter if they've traveled the road before or not. This road is one sole connection route between Greenfield Center, Greenfield, Corinth to get to Milton or the City of Saratoga Springs. Large volume of traffic are from companies such as Quad Graphics and Ball as well as School Staff and other Businesses. These tax payers have a right to travel on a decent road. All that paving will be for not once the snow plow hits it this winter. Again another waste of our Tax Dollars. You can not Band Aide road repair it makes for a huge mess and waste...it's an Election Year maybe someone that wants to keep their job might pay more attention now.

This will continue to be an issue until the County/State/Town all collectively redo this intersection, culverts need to be bigger and the road needs to be raised and done so professionally...no more of this cobb job road work.
