Hi Matt. Nice job of documenting. We have done similar here in Bremerton WA and worked with the property owners, the police and Public Works to get ours cleaned up. It's a really pain in the tush. Believe it or not the most effective way to get it stopped is to get it covered up or cleaned off quickly as it denies the recognition and attention the tagger is looking for. By putting together community members to help PW we have been able to get most fixed as fast as it goes up resulting in most all the taggers quiting. The police also have been able to catch and prosecute the more prolific ones. Good luck and your efforts are appreciated.

this person is a Dominican guy from New York!
Even the graffitti artists hate him because he tags their artwork as well.
People in my neighborhood are ready to hunt him down.

i just talked to a city of oakland public works person who was painting over some tagging here ,he said there is about 40 hardcore taggers in oakland doing a lot of the damage the area around the oakland museum and the lake is hit hard all the time

But how do we catch them? CCTV cameras?

I would totally support the city installing CCTV. It is a cheap and effective way to add security to an area. A force multiplier in police terms. A good deterrent in areas like the lake and downtown that seem to have persistent issues.

This would not be happening in England; they have CCTV cameras located EVERYWHERE there! By the way, this "Ben" and others of his ilk sorely need to be bent to the law.
