Deskripsyon

The left turn lane was helpful before it was recently taken away! I was hoping a left arrow would be added, but instead there is no more left turn lane at all. Left turners hold up through traffic and it is hazardous to make a left without an arrow or lane.

Use Common Sense (Panauhin)

There are other ways to navigate to get to the Acme. When there recently was a left turn onto Starr Street from Nutt Road, the opposing traffice coming from King of Prussia was backed up past Pawlings Road on a daily basis. Traffic is flowing much more smoothly since Nutt Road was returned to its original lanes. Given the increased traffic on Nutt Road with the closing of the South Whitehorse bridge, it doesn't make sense to cater to the few people who can't find another route to the grocery store. Working hand in hand with the surrounding townships, building up the infrastructure of Phoenixville to keep up with the increase in population and associated resulting problems should be a priority.

If you are one of the people stuck in the line behind the person trying to make the left onto Starr Road, the improved traffic flow from KP doesn't really feel like that much of an improvement.

Down with the Traffic Engineer (Panauhin)

This has forced traffic to pull forward past Starr, and block the lane meant for going straight through the light in an attempt to turn left on to Valley Rd. Previously, when it was a left turn lane into the apartment complex, and not a straight through, it wasn't as dangerous. Now, it's a disaster. "Common Sense" has none. There are plenty of us that live in that neighborhood BEHIND ACME. It is not just the store. Do you really expect an entire neighborhood, that has restrictive one-way roads at one end to go through excessive backtracking to finally make it to our homes? It is beyond ridiculous.

Yep, making a left turn there now IS dangerous - not only that, it's ILLEGAL. Make your left turn in the alleyway AFTER the gas station.

Mr. Ed, you should read further. That "alleyway" is Valley Rd, which is what was discussed as dangerous in the comment above.

thats because you are not allowed to make a left turn from Nutt Road to Starr Street....they only did that when the Gay St. (high bridge) was under repair in Phoenixville to alliveate traffic issues

True. It also then forces traffic to make a left turn(EB traffic) onto the side street immediately past Starr causing traffic to not only block EB Nutt, but block traffic from turning left from Starr onto Nutt.
