The New Hope block between Oscar Hammerstein Way and Stockton Ave. frequently is blacked out longer than necessary during storms and floods than some other blocks because it is on connected to the S. Main S. line (intervening blocks like the luxury Canal Street development have separate power line). Three residents have complained for more than five years to PECO to have the blocks power tied to the Oscar Hammerstein power line some that intersects the block. It is more reliable. It goes down less often It would cost PECO virtually nothing to do.
