This should go to Dept. of Building Inspection & the Dept. of Public Health – it is not a pothole/street repair issue.

Re: SFDPW's comment - so do we just hope that these other departments within the same city government will "notice" this? Will 311 direct this to the right departments and track the progress of this request?

This building is indeed an eyesore; I walk by it daily and the walks are filthy, the weeds are very high and eventually, this building will simply cave in or be broken into (if it has not already!). I cannot imagine living next to it. I feel sorry for you if you do.

It appears the correct address for this building is "3246 & 3248 18th Street" (old Chava's restaurant) This may have caused some confusion.

The answer is, Yes. Once you place a call with a 311 operator, simply ask for the "service request number" and retain for follow up in the future.

There is an article on this building, I guess it's been reported extensively and the city is looking into it.

They have started working on the building. Not much improvement on the outside, but they seem to be doing a lot of work inside.
