This is among the worst timing of lights seen anywhere. It's moronic.

Try getting on Boot from Greenhill. It needs a turn arrow.

This is traffic engineering at its worst. Nobody teaching controlling an intersection like they have this one programmed. In fact I think it probably violates the Federal code for traffic control. I have heard their excuses, not enough ramp space, not enough distances to stack the cars. Why do the cars need stacking. let them flow when they are needed, even if the light is green for over 45 seconds. In europe a light on Boot Road would remain green for up to 4 minutes to keep traffic flowing if necessary. Probably best solution, wait for 202 to be widened in 20 years.

Up until 2 months or so, it use to be at that intersection, the the lights would flash yellow on Boot Rd in the early morning hours. Now you just sit there because the lights are on some automatic timer that keeps them cycling like as if traffic needed it. I have been going to work for years and they always flashed yellow at 4:30 am. Now I usually get the red light and just sit at the intersection with no traffic around. Why the change? Traffic density has not changed. I realize East Goshen PD Traffic Division has had their hands full with the rash of bad storms but how about moving on this soon.

It takes forever just to get a few blocks down Boot because of these lights, it's infuriating!

Is it me, or has it gotten better this week? Did they do any work on the lights or is it just luck?

11 months and this still is not fixed! I sat for 17 minutes this morning from Greenhill to 202 ramp!

well since that section of Boot Road is where all the truck traffic goes there is a reason its timed like that. ALso there is a fire department on the corner of greenhill and boot road they trip the light with screws up the timing anyway. If you dont like sitting in the lights there go to boot road and phoenixville pike turn on phoenixvillle pike go to greenhill road take it back out to boot it will bypass that crap at boot road. So all in all what i mean is if you dont like that way find a different route its not hard

So the solution to this problem is not to fix the lights but to go 4 miles around the light. A universal solution to any problem, any where.

Thank you, Civ Eng. When you live less than 1/2 mile from the intersection, it's ridiculous to have to take an alternative route. I have lived here for 10 years and it has gotten progressively worse. I have to make a left onto Boot in the morning and it is nearly impossible because the traffic is backed up past my neighborhood and then I have to wait through several cycles of the light to get onto 202 South. Yes, taking Phoenixville down to the 322 on-ramp is an alternative route, but it is not a solution to the problem.

this morning (5/31/11) the cars on southbound 202 were backed up to under the morstein rd bridge waiting to exit.

Would also agree that the blinking lights from 11PM to 6AM would be a great idea to put them like they use to be.

15 minutes this morning to drive from Morstein Road to 202 North! All my previous complaints were related to getting to 202 South, but now I work in KOP, so now it takes even longer because I have to watch that light change several times and only let 2 or 3 cars through because the traffic is backed up over the bridge... it holds back the eastbound Boot traffic even when there's no one turning left onto 202 South and it stays green for the 202 South offramp when there's no one waiting. Maybe I'll sell my house and move to the the other side of the bridge.

I guess this intersection will never be right. I live on boot rd and have to come through the lights to head north on 202. Unless I leave by 7 am, forget about it!! Now the 202 southbound exit gets too much time ! It clears out the ramp and stays green while no one is even on the ramp. Dumb dumb dumb! It can't be that hard to time a light based on traffic flow. This is 2014!!!
