Dear Westville and New Haven Residents,
The Connecticut Tennis Center on Yale Avenue will be hosting the Connecticut Open Women’s Tennis Tournament from August 18 through August 26, 2017.
In preparation for this exciting WTA event, the City of New Haven has closed Yale Avenue from Chapel Street to Derby Avenue until September 8, 2017. Please take alternate routes during this road closure.
During the tournament, the City of New Haven will be posting and will be enforcing Emergency Order No Parking on the following streets from August 18-26:
• Central Avenue – from Chapel Street to Derby Avenue;
• Chapel Street – from Alden Avenue to Yale Avenue.
During the tournament, the City will also be activating Zone 4, Residential Parking enforcement to discourage visitors attending the Connecticut Open from improperly parking in the Westville neighborhood. The City will be enforcing of Resident Zone 4 placards during this tennis event.
To avoid any inconvenience please be sure your car has a properly displayed Zone 4 Residential Parking tag.
Please be sure any of your invited guests properly display a Zone 4 visitor hang tag.
