Description
This is inside Shoreview/Boeing Creek Park entrance, approximately 80 yards straight in and to the left. [Enter Shoreview Park, drive to northern most point of the parking lot (past the restrooms) where entry/orientation sign for Boeing Creek Park is.]
This is the site of suspected after-hours activity (I am an early 8am walker). Person(s) over night are collecting sticks, limbs, and such and piling them onto trees to concoct bizarre looking lean-to's and oddities. Many of the limbs are from the ground, but some have evidence of fresh breaks so are being broken off of trees, in other locations stumps and ground roots are being hacked at with stone or tool; this morning there was an approximately four foot long landscape timber with two rebar ground anchors that had been pulled up from a site unknown and added to the evenings decorations. I suspect alcohol or drugs are involved based on the bizarre builds.
Please pass along to Shoreline Police and ask that they make some uniformed forays into these woods to ensure compliance with posted park hours and the law.

There remains garbage and @#$% debris arrangements in that clearing after hours, things like discarded beer bottles, lotion containers, socks, napkins, water bottles, etc. Any chance of getting this cleaned up? Most of the trails in the park are in reasonably debris free condition (though an occasional walk around by maintenance would be welcome and net some garbage), but this one main clearing that I described is clearly getting routine use after park hours this summer.
1. needs clean up in there, and routine attention
2. route this request to Shoreline Police (or maintenance if they work that late) and ask for a evening/night foot patrol in there when time permits.
